WHAT IS AN RM (RIGHTS-MANAGED) LICENSE?

An RM (Rights-Managed) license means that the usage rights for an image are clearly defined. The licensing fee and terms are based on specific factors such as duration of use, intended use, geographic territory, and distribution.

Depending on the agreed licensing terms, a Rights-Managed image may also be licensed with exclusive usage rights for a specific project, market, or period.

WHAT DOES EDITORIAL USE MEAN?

Editorial use refers to the use of an image in connection with news, journalism, reporting, or educational content. Images licensed for editorial use generally cannot be used for commercial purposes, such as advertising, promotional campaigns, or product endorsements.

ARE IMAGE LICENSES TRANSFERABLE?

No. Image licenses are non-transferable and may only be used by the original license holder in accordance with the agreed licensing terms and usage rights.

If you wish to provide the image to another person, company, or third party for their own use, a separate image license is required.
